Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

Social Control ("we", "us", "our") operates the platform at socialcontrol.app and my.socialcontrol.app. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the data you entrust to us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how the data we access from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) is handled.

1. Who we are

Social Control is a social engagement platform that helps businesses manage customer conversations across their Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts from a single inbox. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
  • Meta Platform Data: when you connect via Facebook Login, we access the Facebook Pages you manage (id, name), any linked Instagram Business account (id, username), Page access tokens, and the messages, comments, and posts on those Pages and accounts that you receive and manage through our inbox.
  • Content you create in the platform: scheduled posts, uploaded media, auto-reply rules, and AI-generated draft replies.
  • Usage and device data: pages visited, actions taken, session times, IP address, browser type, and cookies.
  • Payment data: processed securely by our payment provider. We do not store your card numbers.

3. How we use your information

  • Provide the unified inbox and receive your Pages' messages and comments in real time via Meta webhooks.
  • Send replies and publish or schedule content to your connected accounts, on your instruction.
  • Generate AI-assisted draft replies and run the auto-reply rules you enable.
  • Show analytics about your conversations and results.
  • Send you important service and account notifications.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Meta Platform Data

We access Facebook and Instagram data only to provide the features you explicitly enable, and only for the Pages and accounts you connect. We handle this data in accordance with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We do not use Platform Data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to third parties except to the service providers that operate our platform, under contract. We never post or message from your personal profile.

5. AI processing

To generate draft replies, message content may be processed by trusted AI service providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. Drafts are suggestions; a message is only sent when you send it or when you have explicitly enabled an auto-reply rule.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform — such as cloud hosting, our AI provider, and payment processing — under strict data-processing agreements, and where required by law.

7. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active and while a platform connection remains connected. When you request deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except for the minimum records we are legally required to retain (for example, billing records for accounting purposes).

8. Data security

We use SSL/TLS encryption in transit, store passwords using strong one-way hashing, keep access tokens with restricted access, and apply strict access controls across our internal systems.

9. Your rights

  • Access and correct your personal data.
  • Request deletion of your data — see our Data Deletion page.
  • Withdraw your consent to processing at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with your competent data protection authority.

10. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for authentication and for remembering your preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect some functionality.

11. Children

Our platform is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.

14. Contact us

For any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected].
